Multiplex Fire Protection required a new server and managed network switch installing to support their growing needs and to allow staff to connect remotely.
This was completed over the weekend with all files and email being transferred transparently to the new system, together with implemention of accounting and job-allocation software on the server, for staff to use (in a secure manner) from remote locations.
A 'free' and unique off-site backup strategy was also implemented using an existing VPN link to their sister company based in Altrincham. This operates on a nightly basis and copies anything that has change between the local and remote systems, ensuring a full off-site backup that can be readily accessed in the event of a disaster.
